Following the Defender Finals in 1992, the San Diego Yacht Club, which had been favoring it's home town son Dennis Conners, made an attempt at a "show of support" when it offered to finance the composition and recording of an America³ team "fight song". In the end the club's financial support for the project evaporated but the song was eventually composed and recored (thanks to the efforts of David Dick, SDYC member, local attorney and legal counsel to America³, and Rick Wrightson, America³ Vice President and SDYC member). It is titledAmerica³, America Sails With You. The song proved to be an inspiration to the entire America³ team as it sailed on to victory.
