Kimo Worthington



James (Kimo) Worthington, director of sailing operations. Brings to his new post 26 years of experience in competitive sailing, including more than 100,000 miles of ocean racing and 13 years managing his own yacht racing, coaching and consulting firm. He has participated in three other America's
Cup campaigns: in 1980 in the cockpit of Clipper; in 1987 as mainsheet trimmer on Eagle; in 1992 as alternate helmsman, tactician, crew boss, boat captain and mainsheet trimmer on America3. Other accomplishments include first place in the 1990 Ultimate 30 U.S. Circuit; second place in the 1990 70-foot World Cup; three-time winner of the Kenwood Cup (1984, 1986 and 1990); and stints
as skipper in the U.S. Admiral's Cup team in 1989 and 1991. He graduatedfrom Santa Monica City College and the Westlawn School of Yacht Design.<BR>
