I. Koch, chairman and chief executive officer. Brings to the 1995 America3
America's Cup Defense campaign his scholarly and hands-on experience as
a leader in the business and sailing worlds. In addition to the companies
he founded and heads, Koch is perhaps best known for his role as skipper,
financier and Chief Executive Officer of the America3 team that won the
America's Cup in 1992. A native of Wichita, Kansas, he holds bachelor's,
master's and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, as well as numerous honors in the sailing and academic
