Grew up teaching sailing, with experience in all size boats from dinghies to J/24's. Has been racing since she was in high school, placing first in the 420 class at the High School Nationals in 1989. Since then, she has won many U.S. and international races. Among her more notable titles: first in the 1991 Fastnet; first in the J/24 class in the 1993 Rolex Regatta; first in the 1993 Lightning Atlantic Coast; first in the 1993 Women's Lightning Championships; and first in the 1993 Antigua race week.(1/1/95)
