Spent two years sailing around the world and has dozens of races to her credit, including the 1994 Southern Ocean Racing Circuit, the 1993 China Coast Cup and the 1993 Santa Maria Cup. Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. To join the America3 sailing team, she left her position as an aerospace engineer consultant to NASA's Microgravity Division, where her responsibilities included data systems design for the International Space Station, and providing the division's information on the Internet. Her husband, a sales manager for North Sails/Chesapeake, hopes to join her in San Diego later in the year.(1/1/95)
