Most recent position was Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Washington Huskies football and other teams ) one of only four women in the country to hold such a position). World class weight lifter. Between 1989 and 1993, she was in the top 10 in the world in superheavy and heavy weight classes for all five years. During that time she was also on the U.S. Weight lifting Federation Women's Team, with a gold and several silver medals in the Olympic Sport Festival events. Lived in Hungary in 1988, where she trained and studied Hungarian methods of preparing women for Olympic weightlifting. Has a master's degree in exercise science from Washington State University at Pullman. Married to Fred Johnson, an air traffic controller at the Seattle en route center. (1/1/95)
